Hi guys! So today we visited Swedbank and had a talk with a representative of "Public Health Bureau of the Vilnius City municipality"

As the woman taught us, we should follow some steps though the "economic way". But what are the general thoughts/myths concerning the "economic way" and the way to generally spend money.

Myths -

1. Mental health issues only appear in the younger generations

Younger generations tend to express their emotions and identify them. Older generations haven't learned to identify their mental problems and due to this they often don't believe that mental health is important.

2. People with mental health issues should be treated differently.

No! People with mental health issues and illnesses are being stigmatized by society, which can worsen their condition. We need to understand that they are able to do the same things just like us and we shouldn't make misconceptions about them and treat them like the rest of society.

3. It's okay if you don't save your money, you can do it later!

This is a big misconception in our society that you shouldn't follow. It's better to start building this habit in your teens. In addition, don't forget you can start your savings in small amounts. Everything counts even if it's only a little.

4. You only need to think about your big purchases.

It's absolutely the opposite. Small purchases such as a cup of coffee or a small treat daily could ruin you even more than your big spendings once in a while…

5. There should be space for coffee money.

There should indeed be space, time and money for pleasures in life. But what is a pleasure if it's daily and ruins your bank account? You should save the daily coffee for lets say a weekly coffee instead, and make that experience way more valuable and appreciated than your daily morning coffee that basically is "waste".

That's all for today! This is actually the last post, so to all our readers - take care and have a nice the rest of your life!
