Scientist predictions:

suicide rates
Predicting suicide rates can be complex and influenced by various factors, including socioeconomic conditions, mental health support systems, public health policies, and societal attitudes toward mental health. However, during times of significant societal stress, such as natural disasters, economic downturns, or pandemics, there can be an increased risk of suicide. The COVID-19 pandemic, for example, has led to heightened levels of stress, isolation, and economic instability for many people, potentially impacting mental health and suicide rates.
Efforts to provide accessible mental health support, raise awareness, reduce stigma, and address underlying social and economic factors can help mitigate the risk of increased suicide rates. However, it's essential to remain vigilant and proactive in addressing mental health challenges to prevent potential increases in suicide rates.
people with mental health problems (increase/decrease);
It's challenging to predict with certainty, but there are several factors suggesting that mental health issues could continue to be a significant concern in the coming years. These factors include ongoing societal stressors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, economic uncertainties, social isolation, and environmental changes. Additionally, increased awareness and destigmatization efforts may lead to more people seeking help for mental health issues, potentially influencing the reported numbers. Continued research, support, and access to mental health services will be crucial in addressing these challenges effectively.
Our opinion:
In our opinion, suicide rates are in fact going to increase. The next generation is dealing with a really prolonged exposure of stress and pressure due to the daily environment they have to deal with. All of this causes our opinion to be truly pessimist because we know how much responsibility the next generation is going to have in our society and even in our planet, and that, when not well managed can lead to an increasing rate of suicides and mental health problems.
