WEDNESDAY, 24th April
On wednesday we went to the family center to learn about family in a catholic perspective, and during the afternoon we visited the parliament in order to find out about non-traditional families and the redefining process of what a family is in Lithuania.
Traditional family
(The family center)
In order to marry in a church your partner has to be a different gender.
In order to marry someone you have to want/plan to have a child with her/him
Couple decisions concern the whole community, just like having children.
Non-traditional family
(Seimas)
You can not marry with a same sex marriage person, but there are several persons in the parliament working in order to legalize same sex marriage.
Having children is not mandatory and it's a thing only for them to decide.
The couple's life is private and nobody has the right to interfere in it.
