TUESDAY, 23rd April 2024

We started the day off with a meeting at the school auditorium. Where we in groups endeavored on writing blogs about our first day, reflecting and writing what we did. After finishing our writing we went to the "Vinted" headquarters in Vilnius, where two impressionable young ladies split us into two groups and showed us around the amazing and modern offices.

We then listened to some presentations by two young men, who are employed in the company. During the presentations we gained insight into their background stories. Learning about how they found their passion and their come up. After the presentations we got the privilege to quench our curiosity by asking them reflective questions about the company and their role in it.

After our fascinating visit, we went to explore the local restaurants looking for some delicious food. We again split into groups, where some of us went to a Mexican restaurant, and where the other went to a well known burger place.

We then went to Vilnius University, where the topic of discussion was adult education. We learned about different types of learning.

Formal education: This is the traditional type of education that most people are familiar with. It typically takes place in schools, colleges, and universities, and is structured around specific curricula and assessments. Formal education often leads to qualifications such as degrees and diplomas, and can provide a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in a particular subject.

Informal education: Informal education is more spontaneous and unstructured than formal education. It can take place in a variety of settings, such as at home, in the community, or in the workplace. Informal education can include activities such as reading, watching documentaries, attending workshops, or learning from mentors. While informal education may not lead to formal qualifications, it can be a valuable way to acquire knowledge and skills that are relevant to personal interests or career goals.
